Barcode not found
If a barcode is not found, try scanning again in better lighting or manually entering the barcode. Some products may not be available in public product databases yet.
Product data differs from the package
Public product data can be incomplete or outdated. Always trust the package in your hand first, and use CleanLabel's edit tools when you need to correct saved product details locally.
How to scan a label
Open the scanner, keep the label flat and well lit, and frame the ingredients or nutrition panel clearly. CleanLabel uses on-device recognition to read label text.
How to edit product data
Open a saved product and use the edit controls to update details for your own local reference. Local edits help your app view, but they do not change public database records.
Manage or cancel subscriptions
CleanLabel Plus subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open iOS Settings, tap your Apple Account, choose Subscriptions, then select CleanLabel to manage or cancel.
Restore purchases
If CleanLabel Plus is not appearing after a purchase, use Restore Purchases inside the app while signed into the Apple account used for the original purchase.
Accounts and scan history
CleanLabel does not use accounts in the current build. Scan history is stored locally, so support may not be able to recover it if the app is deleted or local data is removed.
